changed cable...now desktop too big for screen

is there another solution here? so confused since it worked absolutely fine before i shut down the system.

Go into the Graphics settings and check for Monitor overscan and change that till it looks right, if that doesent cut it go on the monitor settings and check for overscan there otherwise i dont really know, If you have and amd card and the software dont allow you to change overscan you have to go into Regedit and enable it somewhere, tell me if the overscan isnt enabled and cant be enabled and i'll help you

Welcome to Seven forums.

Intel graphic card is for basic functions on the system. Nvidia one is for the graphic extensive functions like gaming and high definition videos.

Open the Intel Control Panel and you can set the custom aspect ration and screen resolution as well:

You can customize to accordingly to fit it to the screen. Keep us posted with the results so we can advise you further.
