HP LP2475w monitors remain blank when turned back on after a few hours

    Hi,

I'm using the above mentioned monitors connected to Windows 7 PCs. Whenever I switch the monitors off on the power switch in the evening and then switch them back on next morning, the monitors remain blank although the PCs are still working normally (which I can check with Remote Desktop).

Is there a known trick? To save electricity, I don't want to have the monitors on all night.

Thanks in advance for any hint!

You have to wiggle the mouse or or hit the space bar a couple of times to activate things. I have the same monitor and it behaves exactly the same way........

Thank you very much, I'll try that at the next occasion. It is just ever so odd that the OSD still shows the Display Port being the currently active input, but Scan all inputs does never pick up that signal.

That OSD is a pain....I ended up turning off auto scan and just setting it on the input that actually is used. In my case DVI.......However I still have to wiggle the mouse to get the monitor to pick up after turning off the monitor power....

No joy. I have to restart the PC : (

Maybe it's a driver issue or something else. I have only HP monitors, so I can't try another brand. I guess I have to keep it on, which is of course ridiculous, considering the waste of electricity.

The only thing I can add is to be sure to wiggle the mouse before you turn on the monitor switch......Mine won't activate if I turn on the PS before the mouse move. Beyond that I've got nothing.......
