BINGO ! that's the problem turn AERO back on Does disabling Aero really improve performance in Windows 7?

According to this your CPU is doing the work making it lag

No problem the article states that UI is graphics intensive and turning off AERO will make your CPU work harder while you see no difference in video or gaming but the UI is being worked

    More similar issues

    Hi Seven forums.

Further to my last incorrectly titled post, i'm still having weird issues on my monitors.

Essentially similar to my previous ones just with slightly different symptoms.

Constantly whilst using the computer I get squares all over the screen. In general any kind of interaction away from the window i'm using or just clicking anywhere causes them to go. Once they appear like they are doing whilst i type they flicker alot and jump about the screen. if I were to print screen then you'd see none of them just the normal output, hence I have taken a picture with my phone which i've attached. it seems like it's morphing sections that should be on monitor 1 and pebble dashing monitor 2 with them. It seems to be mostly when i'm moving between two applications windows.

As per earlier in the thread everything is up to date and i'm using nividias 14.2 beta drivers or w/e the most up to date beta is.

I'm at a loss as to what to do, one part of me thinks well meh it clears up pretty quickly unlike the large areas of problems I was having before. However it's really annoying and it'd be nice to get a handle on why it's happening.

edit it seems like the more you move the mouse about and between the two monitors the worse it gets then when you take focus in a new window by clicking it resolves the graphical glitch.

    more problems, marv

Furthermore now the secondary monitor just went batshit. The whole picture starting shifting and flickering and overlaying itself multiple times but only on the secondary monitor, the main one seemed fine. Nothing I could do seemed to effect the problem, just as suddenly as it started it stopped and was fine then a few minutes later just back to the small squares of monitor 1 flickering and being overlayed on monitor 2. I just had a few programs open and was watching a video on youtube.

    Any help greatly appreciated.

How do you have it set up again ?
Also have you tried monitor calibration

When the Picture shows like that it could also be the cables you are using have you tried to reposition the cables while this is going on

    Sometimes that will cause distortion

    hi good morning :)

yes as you can see by the headtorch the first thing I do is check the cables etc, that had no effect. The problem just stopped of it's own accord.

The main monitor is dvi out via a vga adapter, and the secondary (the one with the major issues) is dvi to dvi.

I will try a combo with no adapter today as I am clutching at straws as to what the problem could be.
