Hi Ptor....... welcome to the se7en forums

have you tried re seating the card since you installed W7..??

have you got any GPU monitoring software on there..?? anything that might show the presence of the card even without drivers..??

you may need to try the card in another machine, just to rule out the possibility it my have died..

Well thank you.. The card didnt die, I have dual boot and xp still runs like it used too..

Me and a mate think we have found the problem.. just no solution yet..

My motherboard is an Asus P5RD1-VM wich uses ULI drivers... And asus offers all kind of drivers except for my board. So my chipset isnt installed properly... So we think to know the problem..

The solution is harder.. we cant find drivers on the net.. xD

Maybe this bit of extra info helps out..

    Kind Regards

    Edit: Chipset is ATI RS400/RC400/RC410

you may still need to re seat the card so W7 can detect it....this happens with H/W from time to time...

Well I installed the driver, it asked for reboot, did so..
Then an error popped up at boot up (see added pic).
And no changes in device manager..

And another bit of extra info: Pc wizard 2008 reconised the graphic card. As the gforce 7600 gt

so it is in fact your W7 install itself stopping the card running, if the card is picked up by other S/W while your in W7

have you re seated the card..??, i know its a chore but it maybe as simple as taking it out & plugging it back in...

Try to to change the settings of Windows Update to 'notify, but don't download or install'. Check for updates, and then choose to view available updates. There you must choose what you see about graphic cards.

    Good luck!
