A quick question for you tech bods, I uninstalled the AMD driver before getting my new card installed which my PC tech said that I shouldn't have done? Anyway, for some reason all my USB ports went down??? They are sorted now but I was wondering why this would have happened?
Thanks
Graham
Hi Graham .. Had a look at your Motherboard its controlled by Intel Chipset .. Sorry i have no idea way your usb ports stopped working .. But glad you got it sorted :)
I've never known that happen so I couldn't say. As for the PC tech person saying you shouldn't uninstall the driver, well that is so wrong. You should always uninstall the graphics driver when replacing the card.
Yes that's what I believed, but he said that could be done after the new card was installed? I thought it would be better before the new card was put in.
I do not see his point Graham there is no reason to keep an old Driver when you do not have Hardware for it ..
Mmm, Cannot argue with that Maxie :)
