Monitor problem after installing clean Windows 7.

I was having some problems with my PC, I posted a BSOD thread on here that was solved but then started having software lag issues so gave up trying to sort it myself and gave it to a specialist PC repair guy.

He's gave me it back having completely wiped what was previously on the PC so now just a fresh install of Windows 7 with the required drivers installed. However I'm now having problems using my 2nd Monitor and he's unsure on how to solve it.

I have 1 PC monitor, an LG W2234 which only has a VGA connector, this monitor is working fine.

I also have a JMB HD TV that I was previously using as a 2nd monitor that worked fine via a HDMI connection. Model no is : JT0122002B/01

Now when I try to connect it via the HDMI connection the PC doesn't acknowledge the device at all and I get no response from the TV. However if I connect it via the VGA cable it does work. The HDMI lead worked fine beforehand and hasn't been used since so no reason why it shouldn't still be working.

I have a NVIDIA GeForce GTX 650 Ti, it has three connections: 1 x HDMI, 1 X VGA and 1 x DVI.

Someone suggested to me to try this :

Are the VGA and HDMI connectors both on the motherboard? Asking because they are on my system and I have to go into the BIOS to specifically enable the HDMI connector. That is because there is also a DVI connector, which is enabled by default, and I have to disable that to enable the HDMI connector.

If the connectors are on a video card, you should look in Control Panel, the Display section, and see if you have to enable/disable connectors there."

I went to Control Panel, the Display section but see no option to enable/disable.

Sorry if I've missed any other relevant information out, any advice would be much appreciated.

Have you installed the latest driver; NVIDIA DRIVERS GeForce 335.23 Driver WHQL

Yes, all graphics card drivers up to date.

Have a look in control panel and see if the monitor is there, if its not. i could be a faulty lead.
From my experience cheap HDMI cables, don't last long. I have had the problem before when i have unplugged a HDMI and one of the tiny little pins inside have broken off.

I've went and bought another HDMI cable to check if that was the fault, still doesn't work.

No response at all from them being connected, the monitor is not found in device manager, nor does it show up in display options in screen resolution.

The HDMI connector on the TV is broken, thanks for the input anyways, cheers.
