No Aero Support on ATI mobility radeon 9800

    Holy **** I got it to work!!! I had to install one of the modded drivers first then check windows update and it gave me an updated driver that enables aero support!!! Thank you guys so much for all of your help!!!

    Should this work with the desktop version too?

    Im trying this with an ATI Radeon 9800 Pro (however Win 7 detects it as XT)

    Install by using device manager. Right click video card. Update driver software. Browse. Let me pick. Have disk. Browse. Now find the .inf and click on it inside the navigation pane. Hit ok.

    ATI Catalyst? Legacy Display Driver

    Run setup.exe after to get CCC.

    I'm getting the same problem as the other guy,
    my card isnt showing up in the list.. only ATI Radeon HD models seem to show up.

    Ive tried Installing one of them cards but i get

    Windows has stopped this device because it has reported problems. (Code 43)

    any help, would be appreciated

    Sorry.

    ASUSTeK Computer Inc.

    Anything nForce3 or below is impossible to work in 7 or Vista. Must use XP.

    I wouldn't worry about it much. Microsoft is still working out the kinks, just give it some time.
