It would completely depend on what your budget is and what you're going to be using it for, would it be gaming?

the easiest way to vet your head around how GPU families work.

for example Nvidias top card (aside from the titan) is currently the gtx 780ti.

to break that down its a 7 series card, its position in that family is determined by the 80 (80 being high) and the ti part meaning its got go faster stripes.

now the lower end of the scale youll find something like the 710gt. its still a 7 series, but its very low down hence the 10 representing the second part of its name.

this also works for amd with the r9 295x being the top card and r7 260 being the lower.

also the easiest way to figure it out is price. a $1500 gpu is waaaaaay better than a $50 gpu, is it better for you.. well thats not as straight forward.

is your only intension to use the internet and some desktop work stuff, then a $50 is perfect.

do you have a nice snazzy 4k $3000 monitor or 3 1440p monitors? then youll need to spend $$$$$ to show it off.

whats your budget/current system/intended usage/ intended pc to build?
