Will the GPU work if i dont connect my monitor to it ?

hi , as in my specs have shown , im using a 1.33 monitor , it uses VGA port only .... my future GPU that will be installed on my PC tomorrow is a Gigabyte GTX 750 ti windforce , there wont be no VGA I/O . so the question is , on my motherboard there is a VGA I/O , after i install the GPU , will it work if i still have my monitor plugged there ? or it must be plugged to the GPU ?

It must be connected to the GPU to function as the on board graphics will be disabled. Is this GPU one your installing yourself? Look in the box it came in there should be an adapter from DVI to VGA in it like the one pictured. If not you will need one or a monitor with dvi on it.

Usually Gigabyte puts them in the package, They must be slipping. The VGA to DVI cable is a decent compromise for the moment. It seems kind of a waste to use such a vid card on a vga monitor. Are you planning on upgrading the monitor any time soon? I personally would get a decent 22" to 26" inch one with HDMI.

If there is no further questions would you please mark this thread as solved? Thank you.

Huh... Having purchased many Gigabyte graphics cards in the recent past as we are Gigabyte partners I have several dozens of those adapters laying around. No biggie maybe that model doesn't or they are cutting costs. Last one we purchased about 3 weeks ago had 2 adapters in the box
