The 6570 that I linked has a low profile bracket included. It's made for low profile cases. Check the measurements carefully before you order. :)

Good afternoon Mellonhead....The card that I ordered last night with the wrong dimensions the order was cancelled.

I got with Blair Technologies last week where I ordered my computer and asked them to send me an appropriate card for my computer. I just heard from them (they are absolutely fantastic) and this is what I just purchased. Their tech support assures me they put this card in all the time in computers like mine.

    Specifications | GeForce

They said once the card arrives via phone they will walk me through installing it LOL I'm already nervous about that LOL

Wish me luck and what do you think of this card?

It's a little beefier than the 8400 GS, so you'll probably have better performance with this card.

All in all, I think you're solid. And don't worry too much about putting it in. As upgrades go, a graphics card is fairly easy to do.

    Good luck.

Hey you want to hear the latest news Mellonhead?

All the techs here in my city are notorious for being incompetent . I called a service today and he thought he was talking to a dummy. He said it would be 80 dollars an hour to install and shouldn't take over 2 hours LOL LOL LOL

Isn't that the funniest thing what a dope that tech was trying to cheat me.

I think I found the perfect on site computer tech. He has been a tech for 30 years and has a MBA. When I asked questions he sure sounded very experienced and sounds like he knows what he is doing. His prices are reasonable so I won't be needing my computer suppliers tech support to put the card in but so thankful that they offer that service!!!!

It is sure is beefer that the 8400 GS and I'm so happy about that.....I love computer power LOL

Have a great week and thanks again. I think all is good now.

Oh Dear Mellonhead I have an important question. My new card I told you I bought Geforce GT 520 has a minimum system requirement of 300 Watts...My computer system power is a maximum of 240 Watts.

The wonderful place where I got the new card said and reassured me they have put this card into many many many computers like mine and everything was good.

Will this watts difference burn up my computer?

It probably won't burn up the computer but the card may be underpowered and not work properly. A lot depends on what else you have in the system and how much power those components draw.

If your tech guys say they've put those cards into your type of computer before, then you're probably OK. If you smell anything funny while the computer is running, turn it off, and call the guys that sold you the card and start asking some questions.

Mellonhead after a month of frustration with an incompetent computer tech (he was horrible) I finally got the new video card perfect for my computer has 1 GB memory versus the old 512 I had. I got the card from my reliable computer company and called a new tech and wow wee he is fabulous..so professional and fixed a serious problem with these new HD audio cards I was having...no sound but he worked wonders getting my sound back on with the new card. Oh I was so frustrated with that stupid other tech for a month.. I was totally depressed ..didn't want to get on the computer but now wow what a great card what a great tech and he'll be our forever tech now. You would not believe his expertise with computers. My graphics are amazing and my games are running so great with the 1 GB card.

I don't smell anything funny yet from my computer Mellonhead and this new card has a fan and my temp in the computer is fine. I have 4 RAM on my computer and a AMD Athlon 64 X 2 Dual Core Processor 3800 + 2.00 GHz.

Thank you for all your fantastic help and expertise. YOU ARE THE BEST OF THE BEST!!!!!!! :)
