2nd video output stopped working......
Ok here is the scenerio.
- Been using a 24" monitor and a 32" Monitor in conjunction for quite some time (couple years) with out a hitch. I think i had a power failure and came home to my 32" monitor not displaying anything (fyi, i had the desktops as duplicated on both screens, Each one are in separate rooms)
The 24" monitor is hooked via the DVI and the monitor is hooked up DVI to HDMI adapter and the HDMI goes to my stereo and then to the 32" TV.
Here is what i've tried.
- Remove and reinstall drivers
- Swap the HDMI cables
- I even tried a different video card (nvidia 550 ti)
- Even re-installed windows!!
On my stereo receiver (Harmon Kardon AVR 700) it flashes HDMI as if it doesnt have a signal going to it, if there was signal to it then it would just be a solid HDMI light.
I've tried resetting my Stereo receiver. No luck. Oh and I also tried all 3 of my HDMI slots available.
The ONLY way i could get it to work, is to plug the computer directly to the TV (using the same dvi to HDMI adapter and port on the video card) I know I can just bypass my receiver, but i dont really want to lol. As i use it as a HTPC A LOT!
Posting here is kinda my last resort as i'm pretty stumped at this. Keep in mind that everything was working fine up untill the power surge.
