[OK]Low brightness screen when exiting hibernating mode

    Hi,

I installed Windows 7 this week on my notebook Dell XPS M1710.
Everything is good working, except one thing :

When I close the screen, so the notebook go hibernating, and then I reopen it, the notebook leave the hibernating mode, and here the screen goes dark, the brightness is very low, despite the brightness setting is at max. The only solution is to reboot the notebook.
So now I can't use hibernating mode, I have to always shutdown the notebook.

Does anybody have the same problem ?

Where should I see to adjust the brightness ?

Note that I have a nVidia video card.

Hi ! I have finally solved this problem. I applied the tips proposed on this topic :
[Help] to disable Smartdimmer - LaptopVideo2Go Forums

you need to reinstall the driver again.
however you need to delet some entries in the inf before you reinstall.
open the inf and find and delete:

    (under [mobile tweaks])
    HKR,, EnableBrightnessControl, %REG_DWORD%, 1

    (under [nv_ControlPanelSettings])
    HKLM,"SOFTWARE\NVIDIA Corporation\Global\NVTweak", SmartDimmerConfig, %REG_DWORD%, 2
    HKLM,"SOFTWARE\NVIDIA Corporation\Global\NVTweak", SmartDimmerEnable, %REG_DWORD%, 1

    save and reinstall the driver.

it should remove the smart dimmer
