Thanks for the recommend, I think I'm gonna update my cpu and mobo throughout the year, colour me ocd but that small percentage (bottleneck) you guys mentioned will annoy me till I upgrade, would be nice to have experienced folks to ask what processor, mobo etc. to go for next.

That's the very place to ask. Ask those of us who do that.

Ok, I had a look at that place, it looked very...well, worse than asking here. I'm not into overclocking which seems prevalent over there.

I'm in two minds of asking you or using the CPU section of the forums for my next purchase, I hope you know this, you could save me some cash.

I'm considering buying this cpu Intel Core i7 4770K Quad Core Retail CPU (Socket 1150, 3.50GHz, 8MB, Haswell, 84W, Intel Graphics, BX80646I74770K, 4th Generation Intel Core, Turbo Boost Technology 2.0): Amazon.co.uk: Computers & Accessories

    Eww, ugly link

Will my current board P6x58d-e support that processor to it's fullest? Do I need to update my mobo or?

No, you have an LGA 1366 Board, the CPU you linked to will require a socket 1150.

Overclocking it isn't required over there. It is only required if you expect to be at the top of the leaderboards. But, the fact of the matter is if you want to know about hardware, ask those who are overclockers. They have to know hardware pretty well. That does not mean that someone who is not an overclocker doesn't know about hardware, but overclockers know it pretty well, they have to.
