Artifacts in post and monitor freezing with loud buzzing sound
Hello there,i really need you help !
So i bought a new graphics card, the Radeon R9 290 and i have the following problems
1)When i post up the pc instead of the BIOS image i am getting those random artifacts
2) In random times my monitor freezes with a buzzing sound coming from speakers and it wont respond until i force restart. This might happen once a day, twice a day,10 times a day or it might not happen for 2 days.It mostly happens when i am gaming or watching movie, but it also happens when i am just browsing.
I have ruled out the RAMs cause i tested them a lot,and i have also ruled out anything else related to hardware because when i am running with my old graphics card the computer runs fine without any problems.
So i decided to RMA the card. They called me after two days and asked me to go there,so i went. They told me that the card runs fine, there was no artifacts in post and no freezing when they tested 4 different benchmarks and 2 different games. So they gave me back the card.He told me that the problem could be my PSU or that i run the card with VGA to HDMI adapter(Analog to Digital).
So i really don't know what to do now, what would cause this problem ? Is it possible that cause my monitor does not have Digital input(HDMI,DVI)so i have to use VGA To HDMI adapter this could be the problem ? Or it's simply my PSU ? But if it's my PSU shouldn't i also have random restarts and other problems too ? I am really in a dead end.
My rig :
mobo : Gigabyte GA-880GA-UD3H
CPU : AMD Phenom II x6 1090T
RAM : 8 GB Corsair
PSU : Chieftec APS-650C 650W
PS.Just like 10 minutes ago i got the freezing again so i had to restard. It didnt went to windows instead it said that CHSDK(or something like that) need to check the disk for consistency,so it checked. What does this mean ?
