    GTX 770 2GB Voltage issue!

Hi, my card ( Gigabyte GTX 770 2GB OC ) seems to have some voltage issues it won't go above 0.9 V, I checked this with some different software like HWmonitor, MSI afterburner, EVGA precision and my card is around 0.865 V and when I start a game (Far cry 4) it goes up to 0.9 V but no higher.

Some pages said that when it's overclocked (gpu boost 2.0) the voltage is raised but most pages I googled (90%) mention that this card has a nominal voltage of 1.2 , so is it supposed to be 1.2 V out of the box?

So is this a driver issue or perhaps a setting in BIOS that I need to change?

I really appreciate the help :)

    My specs:

    Intel i7 2600K @3.40GHz - Asus p8z68-V Pro - Corsair Dominator DDR3 1600MHz, 2x4GB - Gigabyte GTX770 2GB - Corsair GS600 W - Fractal Design Define R4 - Intel 180GB 520 Series - WDC 1.0 TB - Windows 7

Not sure where you got the nominal voltage of 1.2V, but I couldn't find it on the web.

Keep in mind that Nvidia cards are voltage and power limited. That's probably why it isn't going above 0.9V. That would be locked in the video card's BIOS. The only way around that would be to edit the GPU's BIOS, which I don't recommend doing.

Hi, thanks for your reply. Apparently HWmonitor shows the wrong voltage, EVGA precision though does not :)
