No display with PCI Video Card.. Pls help!!

    Hi Guyz..

I have an HP D530 SFF based on intel 865g chipset, Pentium-IV in perfectly working condition, with the latest BIOS & Driver updates..

I bought an NVIDIA GeForce Quadro FX 5500 Graphics card.

Now to this working-ok PC, As soon as I plug-in the NVIDIA FX into one of the PCI slots & press the power switch, the display suddenly goes blank..

I tried disabling the On-board VGA IRQ --> DISABLED, pressed F10 to save and restarted the PC. Still the same happens!!

As soon as I press the power switch with the Video card attached to one of the PCI slots, I can hear the processor Fan. HDD, mobo all working --> But NO DISPLAY!!

I even tried changing the PCI VGA PALLETTE SNOOPING from 'DISABLED' to 'ENABLED'.. ( whatever that means!! ) as per a user's suggestion, but zilch, Nada.. No DISPLAY with the PCI Video card attached..

Is there a hardware mismatch like the HP D530 not being compatible with the Nvidia Quadro FX 5500 ??

Any help is deeply appreciated, Pls help..

    Thanks in Advance..

Did you move your monitor cable from the onboard video connector to the video connector on the PCI card?

Hi AlphaN.. U see the prob. is that as soon as I plug in this Nvidia FX 5500 Quadro into one of the PCI slots, there is simply no video.. The screen is simply blank!!

Whether I connect the monitor cable to my old integrated video, or the new PCI card or not connect at all.. Bam!! - No display, & As soon as I remove it from the PCI slot - Viola!! The PC is back to running normal again,..

Whether this is a video clash or PCI device clash or what, Jesus knows.. But,, Pheeeeewww!!

OK, just wanted to make sure. Does this PCI card work in another PC? Is this really a PCI card? Isn't the NVidia FX 5500 Quadro a PCI-E card? If yes are you plugging it into a PCI-E slot? All the required power cables connected to the card?
