Use a single DisplayPort output to run two DVI monitrs

My dad is wanting to get a new PC. He has 3 monitors he'd like to get hooked up to it, and all 3 of them have DVI and VGA input. He is using these monitors with his home and work PC so due to the ports on his work PC, one of them will need to be connected via VGA. They're resolutions are 1280x1024, 1680x1050, and another 1280x1024. The PC he's looking at has two graphics card options: "NVIDIA GeForce GT 620, 1GB, DP+VGA" and "AMD Radeon HD7450 1GB (DVI+DP) Full Height", is there any way all 3 can be hooked up? What I've seen is that there is that these adapters can cost a lot, around $70-$130 and get bad reviews, and they don't register as multiple monitors. However, I've seen some advertised as having extend mode, would it be reasonable to use that on the 1280x1024 displays and then use a 3rd party program to split them into 2 separate displays? Is there any good way to go about doing this or should we look for a PC that has a 2xDVI graphics card? Thanks.

You will be better off getting a card that hass the needed outputs that you need. While DisplayPort has a means of sending two display signals down one cable, it is bare far from being supported.

Lack of displayport cables
Doesn't it seem strange, that there is a lack of displayport cables & adaptors at retailers? Nevermind why one would bother spending an arm & leg that way, and just shop on-line. But there are shelves of DVI, hdmi, even vga gear. I can even find dvi to hdmi cables, but try and find a displayport to...
