great work you do torrent..im having the problem too and beating my head trying to figure it out..i cant do dual monitors because the "video controller" has an exclamation mark in "other devices" of device manager...i assume this needs a driver update for my video card???

i have a sony vaio VGN-S580 and i THINK the video card is Intel® 915GM Integrated Gfx or NVIDIA GeForce Go 6200 with TurboCache....accoording to the website..thanks for everything you do for us!

    Dear Everyone,

Please help me. My Acer Aspire 5720 with Nvidia Geforce 8400M GS not working!

Just Standard VGA Graphics Adapter. If I install a driver, with force, to recognise the Geforce card, when I start the windows 7, it has a problem in every time. Once just black, or "colorful". But never good. After this, I have to go in Safe Mode, to delete the driver, to make it again Standard VGA. And then I can use, but it's for limited, because, many refreshing problem involved.

I tried to install the new 260.99 update, and also the the oldest ones from acer support page, but the effect is the same.

    My HardwareID:

    PCI\VEN_10DE&DEV_0427&SUBSYS_011E1025&REV_A1
    PCI\VEN_10DE&DEV_0427&SUBSYS_011E1025
    PCI\VEN_10DE&DEV_0427&CC_030000
    PCI\VEN_10DE&DEV_0427&CC_0300

I hope you can help! Have a nice day!

Hi bmebmebme, welcome to the forums, did you download the notebook version from Nvidia NVIDIA DRIVERS 260.99 WHQL , there is a chance the 8400m has failed ,they were prone to heat issues

    Thank You the fast reply!

This means, my video card is useless? :S
I tried the NVIDIA DRIVERS 260.99 WHQL but this is still a problem.
There is no other way, to make this right?

    Thanks again.

you could try installing the drivers in safe mode see what happens then , or if you are not feint hearted you could try the "baking method" google it
but this you do at your own risk

    Dear Torrentg,

I'm having the same problem. I have a Nvidia 8400M GT on my Laptop. I sent it off for repair and they told me they had replaced a faulty gpu. Hadnt turned it on in a year and when I did the graphics were messing up. I upgraded to Windows 7 and was wonderful except the graphics are rated 1.0 and the graphics card seems to be non-aparant. Could you please do the same for me or is my issue different? I would like to add that when I go to the 'View detailed system info', it says there is no graphics memory detected. In Vista the card may not have had the right drivers, but this info. still showed the memory available on the hardware I believe?

Here is the pasted info from Hardware id that you previously requested.

    PCI\VEN_10DE&DEV_0426&SUBSYS_9005104D&REV_A1
    PCI\VEN_10DE&DEV_0426&SUBSYS_9005104D
    PCI\VEN_10DE&DEV_0426&CC_030000
    PCI\VEN_10DE&DEV_0426&CC_0300

    Kind regards

    Same thing :(

    Hello,
Unfortunately I'm having the same issue. Went from Vista to Windows 7 Ultimate, and it wont acknowledge my geforce card. This seems like the best thread for hope.

Thank you to those kind folks who have been helping everyone with this problem.
I would appreciate some help aswell
