I'm using VAIO SZ430N. I can't use "iseeuu" trick, but "torrentg" is OK . Anyways, thanks alot you guys for helping us .

But "iseeuu" trick looks simpler & faster. After use this trick, there's Nvidia Geforce Go 7400 in my driver list but dont know why I can't update my VGA driver from that menu. Then I've to try "torrentg" trick. Luckily, it worked .

    This worked for my sz430nb!!!

Thanks, this worked for my vgn-sz430nb!! I attached inf as a text file. I used file named 258.96_desktop_win7_winvista_32bit_english_whql for 7000 Geforce. I could not install the driver manually via device manager, but i ran the setup and it worked fine! Thanks for the post torrentg, your a life saver!!

    Hi torrentg.

thanks in advanced for your tutorial... worked great and finally fixed my card!
I have just one question. After rebooting and do the F8 crap (I have x64) everything seems to be working fine, I mean the aero works, and my nvidia card is recognized... but I can't install the control panel.

The setup thows an error "Install cannot continue" "The graphics driver could not find compatible graphics hardware"
Don't know what to do now. Maybe i'll leave it just like that, cause I think it works.

    thanks for your concern,

thanks so much for making the tutorial.
unfortunately after many attempts to edit and update the driver it's not been working for me, then i realized that I must have an 64bit system and it turns out the case.
Mine is a vostro 1500, running win7 x64 with a nvidia 8400 graphic card, the graphic card info is as follows:

    PCI\VEN_10DE&DEV_0427&SUBSYS_02281028&REV_A1
    PCI\VEN_10DE&DEV_0427&SUBSYS_02281028
    PCI\VEN_10DE&DEV_0427&CC_030000
    PCI\VEN_10DE&DEV_0427&CC_0300

I apologize if anyone has explained this before, but what's the procedure to install the driver on a win7 x64 with a nvidia 8400?

    thanks a bunch in advance.

    Hi

Good to step 10...during update driver software process drop down list appears to select device driver ...my NVIDIA GeForce Go 6150 does not appear on the list...

What should I do at this point?

    Thanks

I know this is old topic, but this guide still works. My oldie Sony Vaio Vgn-sz61wn/c got 8400M GS and I managed to update from year 2009 Nvidia drivers to 341.92.

I'm not sure why would you use the most recent version if it doesn't have any fixes. I'm only using 341.92 because it's what the NVIDIA website suggested me

    Hi,
I've been on 368.39 for some time now :)
NVidia has been just as annoying as Realtek with driver releases every freaking week and homie don't play that crap
