Frequent crashes after installing graphics driver.
Note: The system that I will be referring to in this thread is not the one listed in my profile, it is a much older system. I am currently using it because the system listed in my profile is being fixed after an unfortunate incident. But worry not, I shall be listing the specifications of this system in this thread!
Hello there. I have a bit of a problem with my GPU. I recently purchased a WD Blue 500GB HDD for this system. I purchased it because the original 160GB HDD that originally came with this system had died. After installing the newly-purchased HDD into the system, I went on to install Windows 7 on it. After that I had went to the NVIDIA website to download the graphics driver for this system's GPU (An NVIDIA GT 220). It successfully downloaded with no problems, and had also successfully installed, with no problems. And then it told me that I have to restart my computer to finish installing the driver. I restarted the computer and after that, it sent me to my desktop. I was quite happy at that moment, when suddenly, while watching a YouTube video, it suddenly froze in the desktop. I was forced to shut it down by the PSU. That kept on happening ever since I have installed the driver. When I try to uninstall the driver, it doesn't freeze but the resolution is very low, about 800 x 600 or so. I don't know if it's the driver or the GPU itself. Help would be greatly appreciated!
Specifications:
CPU: Intel Pentium Dual-Core E5200 @ 2.5 GHz
RAM: Kingston ValueRAM 2GB DDR2
Motherboard: Has no branding whatsoever on the motherboard. So I have no clue.
HDD: WD 500GB 7200RPM HDD
GPU: Inno3d GeForce GT 220
PSU: A Generic 350W PSU
