I don't know if I should upgrade my graphics card.. your thoughts?

Hello I just did a bunch of research on my dell optiplex gx620 and found out that i can install a nvidia geforce gtx 650 ti (1GB GDDR5) if i wanted to. All I have to do is upgrade my power supply and i'll be set.

The problem is though is that my cpu is a pentium 4 HT 3.00 Ghz and I cannot exceed that because I have the older optiplex series (not like the 700's, the 600's) I wanted to be able to play black ops 2 on the desktop smoothly with at least over 20 fps. Is this possible with a good gpu but a weak cpu?

I really am stressing out about this and don't know because i have a ps3 already but also have steam from my other gaming pc that broke. I can't afford a lot for a new one sadly.. and steam keeps giving me errors every now and then which is really frustrating.

Thanks in advance if you read or reply.

    Why wouldn`t it ?

Your CPU is what`s holding you back.

Then you need a low profile graphics card.

Could you post a link to this 650 Ti you are considering please.
