hi,,, right ,, this worked on 2 acer 7535g lappys with the 4750 ati cards in,,,
1/ update the bios on the acer support site to the latest windows 7 bios v2.04,,, its in a previous post in this thread,,,
2/ download and install driver sweeper,,, ccleaner,,, revo uninstaller
3/ uninstall all ATI and CCC software using either windows removal app or revo uninstaller,,,
4/ use advanced search to gat all bits left over,,, press windows key + F ,, and type in ATI and CCC into search box in advanced search and delete all it finds,,,
5/ go into device manager and remove drivers for both the hd3200 and hd 4750
6/ run driver sweeper for ATI drivers and delete,,,
7/ run ccleaner to sort out the registry,,,,
8/ have your acer drivers update disc in the drive (the green one) start the disc and install the Video_AMD_PUMA_Win7_X86X64_8.634 drivers and reboot the pc when its installed,,,
hopefully this would have worked and you have the drivers installed and the switch-able graphics work fine
    good luck.

    Hi,
I tried to install bios 2,04 and driver from ACER for 7535g laptop. ALthough now I CAN switch normally like Vista before, there is a problem that windows still play on HD3200 (though system recognizes HD4570).
You just try installing some game like street fighter 4, the game recognize HD 3200 though it is in High-performance GPU. The frame rate is low.
When I first buy this computer. It is running on Vista, recognize HD4570 and play Street Fighter 4 very well.
    Do you have any idea?

    All Works Fine!!

Finally. My graphics card works and so does the CCC and ATI software. Even tells me that it`s going to switch when I pull out the power cable. Here`s how.

    0) Download and flash the 2.04 Bios. Not sure if this is actually necessary, but it is what I did.
    1) I started again from scratch by going into the folder ACER/Preload/Autorun/AutorunX and running the AutorunX App
    2) Click Contents and install eRecoveryManager
    3) Run it and select Restore and then choose Completely Restore System to Factory Defaults. This will set your system back to the way it was when it first arrived.
    4) Once this has all finished Insert your Acer Upgrade Disk and follow the instructions,
but when asked to select what to install deselect the ATI Dislay Drivers. DO NOT install them yet!!
    5) Everything is hunky dory with your system now except for the ATI drivers and at this point you may get a message telling you that the drivers are missing. Don`t worry.
    6) Run the Programs and Features from the Start/Control Panel, select ATI Catalyst Control and uninstall it.
    7) Make sure you restart your system at this point if it doesn`t offer you the choice.
    8) Put your Acer Upgrade disk in and go to CommonDrivers/Video_AMD_PUMA_Win7_X86X64_8.634 and run SetUp. Install the lot. Again you may have to restart your system manually if not offered the option.
    9) By this point your Display Drivers should be functional and you are nearly good to go.Goto Programs and Feature and unistall the ALPS Touchpad as it won`t be functioning properly.
    10) Run the ACER/ AutorunX app again and install the ALPS Touchpad x86
    11) Run the ACER/ AutorunX app and install the AMD USB Filter Driver.

Yay!!! Your system should now have all the original software, win7, your GFX cards and every other feature you bought the Aspire 7535G for in the first place. Have Fun. By the way, it took me 3 total system installs and nearly 2 months to get to this point so don`t give up. Stoo

    BTW,
AMD now support mobile graphic cards out of the box in their Catalyst drivers (no mobility mod needed any longer). It works just fine, I already tried it two or three times without any problem (download, double-click, install--finally, the way it should be! ).

    Not convinced

Still not convinced; have tried all these 'remedies'. No errors, system says it is switching cards - balnk screen etc then comes back on - as dull as ever. in Vista the 4570 was much brighter
    ???

    Dumb luck?

After trying everyting that was posted here, I simply downloaded the Mobility tool. Solved all my problems to my surprise. Just download, install, and let it get the right driver for you. I don't know if it installs the latest driver. But at least my HD 3650 is active again on my Aspire 8530G. Also the HD3200 is active in the device manager.

    Google for: catalyst_mobility_64-bit_util.exe

    Hope it helps!

    hi

a few teething problems with windows 7... I recently purchased an acer aspire 7535g with vista - it has two graphics cores - an onboard 3200hd for low power stuff and a more powerful hd 4570. These are controlled by catalyst control centre (ccc) and worked fine...

...until i upgraded to windows 7

    - now power express does not seem to recognise either cards although the 3200 appears to be working. When i check the hardware section of the computer, both cards are recognised, but a fault is diagnosed with the 4500 series card - it says the card cannot start - code 10 error

the cards are supposed to switch automatically when the computer is plugged into / out of mains power.

I have downloaded the most recent versions of ccc and the most recent ati drivers but this has not rectified the problem.

I need the 4570 card. Has anyone experienced similar / suggest a solution??
you have to go to the device manager , right click on the video card with the exclamation mark (hd 4500) , click on the uninstal button , the check the little box that says delete device drivers (or something like that) , then click ok , then the device will uninstall , windows will download the right driver (witch i dont't know why it wouldn'd update the first time) , and everything goes smooth

Catalyst drivers will not recognise on system, cannot download direct from either Acer or ATI, and HD 4570 still not working. Been at this for 4 days now and about to throw the damn thing down the stairs!!!!
