Hello,
Did you removed before install, all the ati components?
You said you managed to update the bios.
If you start up after that, it will say there is no ati ccc installed, then you try
to install that, first unpack the file and run the exe.
that worked for me.
can any1 plz giv me the link from wher you downloaded the bios.....i also got 7535g acer aspire....nd im also facing the same problems....
To get the new BIOS (and Acer drivers): Acer Support - Welcome to Acer Support
I could never get it to work under Win7-64bit, so I still have the original factory-installed BIOS. But I was able to solve the problem anyway using the instructions on this thread...
The update vga on the acer site, is also for 64bit, so it should work as well for you.
And the bios is esp. for win 7 it says on the dutch acer site.
For ijtaba, go to acer.com and go to support/drivers, fill in laptop and you type,
fill in your os, the you get the bios/drivers.
But first remove all old ati components, then flash the bios, start up and install ccc.
good luck
Just out of interest how did you uninstall the ati components? I have tried through add/remove programs and through uninstalling the drivers only to have windows reinstall them automatically. When i install 8.652.1 it doesnt install the ccc - it only says installation complete and view log without apparently doing anything. I can only install the ccc using the 8.632.1 software!
that is to say it just seems to install the catalyst install manager
oh and purely curious does anyone else say 4.0gb ram total memory but only 2,37GB usable in system information?
hi,,, i too cant get mine to work,,, i have followed all the instructions and still get the code 10 error in d/m on the hd4750 card,,,,, its total crap, i rang up acer and spoke to an engineer and he gave me the truth and said drivers and a fix to this issue will be some time coming ,,,,,
the missing ram in t/m is given over to the hd3200 gfx which is on board,,, this will not make any difference in performance on vista or win 7 as 2gb is recognised as the sweet spot as regards ram on these 2 os.
hope you have more luck than me,,,
good luck.
thanks marbles65 - that is what i had assumed - just wondered if it might have been anything else. Nevermind... I got given an 0906 number to call but didnt fancy spending £1/min getting fobbed off with excuses! Maybe one day itl work! Just a shame i cant install the catalyst 8.652.1 control centre!
Hello Marbles,
Not been checking this very often now so hope you are sorted. If not, then I am not the best person to talk you through installing a bios unfortunately... very computer illiterate!
However having said that I followed the instructions on the ACER website and they were pretty straightforward but didn't resolve this particular problem. If you have the same model and are using Home premium 32 then I suggest you read Seb's original post on this Thread - which worked a treat for me and apparently for others too.
If you are able to download the Dutch bios, that sounds like a good bet too
Sorry, that's the best Ive got - good luck with it and let us know how it goes
