Question on this Graphics Card i just bought.
i bought this graphics card @ a thrift store on a vacation" SAPPHIRE 100298L Radeon HD 3450 512MB 64-bit DDR2 AGP 8X HDCP Ready Video Card - Newegg.com " it was like $3.25 card only, ive never owned a graphics card. but i assumed it was good by the hdmi port. but i just noticed its agp and i think i got a pci and pcie. how much can i get for it on ebay, i saw it posted for $100 but obviously you cant trust just one post. so how much do you think i can fetch for the thing. im 16 so if i can make something off it or if someone knows a way to make it work then tell me.

Right, can't use an AGP card on a motherboard with only PCIe X16 or PCI slots. I have a couple of computers that can use an AGP card but they are somewhat older. As far as I've seen, the PCIe X16 slot is only for video, usually such motherboards will also have a couple of PCIe X1 slots for other things/devices.

You're already $3.25 out of pocket, I wouldn't bother.

Alright, ill hold on to it. i come across old desktops all the time while @ thrift stores and yard sales... so maybe ill try to find a agp desktop that i can pop it into, maybe do some quick upgrades to the ram and some other stuff and make a cheap home theater.

Yeah, im probably gonna use it as a home theater pc card, since it has hdmi. 512mb should be more then enough for something simple like vlc or xbmc. and atleast its dedicated memory. Isnt that slightly faster?

retrogamers17 all you are doing is talking yourself into wasting more money. If that is what you want to do, go for it.
