At the time micro center was the cheapest price
About 100.us cheaper than anywhere else.
Didn't help with the 5960x too much it was still darn near 1k with tax it would of been

I'm sure they will drop eventually.
    Yep still at 900.

When I read post about 980 and 5960X cheap dose not come to my mind. If one waits long enough the price will come down a little.
Affordability between a $1000.00 cpu is no different than a $900.00 cpu for me at least.
The one I have now was stretching my pocket book. When I bought it 11/1/2013 it was $325.00 and it was called 4820-E.

Looks good, Tommy. I'd be anxious to see how it runs. I'll be happy for you, I believe you have me mistaken with Paul. I'm perfectly happy with what I have, other than the fact that I wish I had bought the 5960X like I had planned to. DDR4 prices have come way down from when I bought it. I paid almost $300 for what I have. I can buy the same thing now for around $125, I think.

How is Paul anyway i just realized i am owned $750.00 in back pay so ....... that should help with the build i'm just waiting now also any Tower suggestions i was looking into getting a H100i OR kRAKEN for cooling i am keeping my 3770k or should i sell ?

I kept my 3770K, so far. I would sell if someone offered decent money for the rig. But, as of now I haven't offered it for sale. It's my backup rig.

I cheaped out and got an H105, but it works pretty well too. I don't know how the heat is on the new CPUs, but this 140W CPU is much, much cooler running than the 3770K, which surprised me.
