Blank screen on external monitor
So, recently my computer's files got corrupted (I think). I was loading up CS:S as usual, joined a server I love playing on and waited until I downloaded the map. I waited 10 minutes and guessed it wasn't responding, so I tried to force close it's process "hl2.exe" multiple times, but it didn't close, so I force shut off my laptop 5 minutes later. When I booted it - windows recovery showed up. I shrugged it off and let it do it's work. 1 hour later my laptop shut down and tried to run it again but system recovery runs for 5 seconds. Then I tried booting up in safe mode, but it also redirected me to system recovery. Then I got on my other laptop and downloaded a windows 7 iso. I burned it onto my usb and messed with some BIOS settings to boot the usb on start up. I exitted and saved my BIOS settings and booted up my computer, but after that my laptop didn't display anything. Any help?
P.S: I am using an LG monitor with a VGA cable because my laptop's screen is cracked from the inside and I've been using the vga connected monitor ever since without any problems and got used to it sooner or later. I also tried connecting my laptop with a HDMI cable to my tv, but it didn't work whatsoever.
Thanks in advance
