Received a GTX 660 TI, Screen black on boot

A friend of mine recently gave me a GeForce GTX 660 TI graphics card. All he gave me was the unit; no cable, no cd. Nothing. So I take it home to physically install the graphics card but the screen stay blank. I know I have the required PSU (650 Watts). Both connectors on the GPU are connected. The fan spins and everything. Maybe I need to install the drivers first? If anyone can help me get this thing working, that would be awesome, thank you. P.S. My specs are listed, already. but Just in case Asus M5a97 R2.0 GTX 650 12GB Corsair Vengeance DDR3 1600 AMD FX-4350 Quad-Core

    Hello.
Can you post name and model of your power supply?
Does your motherboard has small speaker on it that beeps when you turn on your computer? If it does do you hear a beep when computer is booting?
Do you have another system to test that graphics card?Or does your old graphics card work now without black screen?
Did you put card in blue or black PCIe slot?

-Try removing all RAM sticks and insert one stick then turn off PC.If screen is still black ,put that stick in another slot and so on.If computer is booting normally and you can see it on your screen then add one RAM at the time.
-Clear CMOS by removing small battery on your motherboard for ~15 seconds and put it back in.

You don`t mention anything about connecting it to the monitor, how did you physically connect to the monitor ?

What type of cable did you use ?

When it comes to drivers, windows should have detected the 660 and attempted to install the drivers, but you would still get a picture on the screen.

Open Device Manager and click on Display Adapter, is the 660 there ?
