Trouble booting Win 7 with SAPPHIRE VAPOR-X HD 4870 2GB

    Hello all,

I just built a new Win 7 system and my monitor goes black right after I get to the starting windows screen, and says, "monitor going to sleep." When my speakers are on, I hear the sound for windows booting all the way, my monitor just always goes dark before I get there I can see everything on screen just fine up to this point, it just can't seem to make it all the way.

I swapped out my SAPPHIRE VAPOR-X HD 4870 2GB GDDR5 PCI-E and replaced it with my old XFX Alpha Dog Edition 8800GT and no problems it boots right up, perfectly stable.

The SAPPHIRE VAPOR-X HD 4870 2GB GDDR5 PCI-E was working the other day on my XP build with an older Gigabyte mobo. Nothing I have tried is working.
I have the most current bios from my new MOBO utility, I have tried clean installs on new hard drives, (formatted, new partitions) etc.

PLEASE someone help this is very frustrating!

Remove any tv or second monitor from the system. Leave only one monitor attached. Then boot to Windows.
