This problem is causing my laptop to behave strangely, what my laptop does is

When I i.leave it off for about one hour, and try to switch it on, it will be powered on nicely, i can do anything I want with my laptop,

But when I switch it off, and then on for just few minutes, it will turn on, but the screen will remain black (total black),

I tried some few tips, like downloading driver for nvidia, from acer website, but when I install them, i. Getting feedback that, drivers they are incompatible with the device, i tried updating bios, with no any positive response

    I am using
    Acer travelmate 5760g

    Hi Kifaru,
That comp comes with a switchable graphics card for 2d/3d, you will need the drivers that Acer provide
Shoot over to Acers driver page for your model and D/L the 32bit ones.

Thank you very much for your response, untill now i didnt work on your advice because, as time, days pass by, my laptop responses changes, currently my laptop has reached a point where when you switch it on, it will turn ON, but its screen stays Black,

There is another slightly indications, that i didnt mention before, this is a HARD DISK LED indicators is oFF, i started doubting probabably the hard disk is not ok, but it is ok, because i shifted it to another laptop , and it worked fine,
I am still examining my laptop for at least to be able to log in so that i can download those drivers you suggested before from nvidia.com

But i would appreaciate if someone could give me an advice that help to make my laptop to turn ON as before, then i will give feedback
