    hd 7870 thermal pads help!


    first of all hello to everyone!
    i have some "problem" with my asus hd 7870 DC II,i i I bought Accelero Twin Turbo III,now i want to know where i need to put thermal pads exactly?! thanks!

    Post a picture of the front of the card with the heatsink and fan off, please. We might be able to figure this out for you.

    i put pads where i think they have to be but i'm not convinced!I just wanted to try to see how it goes.I overclocked the gpu,stress it with furmark and the temperature is around 70!with 51% fans,is that normal?with that cooler?
    my overclock settings are:
    core voltage 1300
    power limit 20%
    core clock 1200mhz
    memory clock 1450mhz
    and fans are on auto mode,i hope someone can help me and clarify!thanks!(the photos were photographed yesterday)

    Put thermal pads on the memory chips. You can alternatively use thermal pads to cool down the GPU but I'd stick with a thermal compound.

    Hi,
    Clean off the old paste off both surfaces with 100% alcohol and apply the new.
