Laptop GPU issue, hangs and crashes
Hello all,
I registered at this awesome website to post my issue, sorry for my bad English
So I Have a laptop named HP Pavilion dm4 Beats Edition, coming with Intel core i5 2450m 2.5 Ghz with integrated Intel HD 3000, 4GB RAM, 500GB HHD, and a dedicated Radeon HD 7470m.
*The issue started yesterday when I was surfing the internet with the Radeon activated ( I use Fixed switchable graphics mode in BIOS) and my laptop suddenly hanged, with the fans spinning so loudly. I force-shutted it via the power button. when I pressed again to restart, it freeze at Windows 7 logo (the flag).
I Tried to format multiple times, with multiple OS (Win 7, 8.1, 10) and install multiple drivers ( from HP, from AMD) with no avail.
I contacted a tech guy and he told me that GPU hanging is a sign of imminent death.
*
However, I'm now writing this topic with the Radeon on, after I let the laptop rest for several hours. and it works fine, didn't test a GPU-heavy application. What could it be? Imminent Radeon death? Overheating?
*
Thanks in advance!

Edit: About temperatures: Normally the GPU stays at 50 idle ( I mostly switch to Intel Integrated HD when browsing), and 75-80 while gaming ( I underclock the GPU using MSI Afterburner to avoid heat), and CPU 55 idle and 70 under load (limited at 50% of its power to reduce heat too)

EDIT2: I player skyrim for half an hour, everything is alright. This is so puzzling!
EDIT3: It crashed again, but I was able to restart with Radeon, using a suboption inside F8 menu (don't know since my windows isnt English) (maybe its "last known good configuration)
EDIT4: Tested it this morning, I can use it for like 15 minutes then it hangs with either AMD driver didn't respond and it recovered, or Nothing at all.
