Win 7-64 with Nvidea GeForce GTX 285 version 341.44.
Application (through Steam) requires Direct X 10.
For some reason am not able to install. Is my spec too low or is it something else.

Windows 7 likely already has version 11 installed in which case you need to or be able to install 10. From the start menu type in dxdiag. Click on the button save all information and upload the file here.
