My monitor won't come out of sleep mode

    Now please make sure you "earth" yourself on the computer casing and remove the mains power lead and as an added precaution hold in the power button for about thirty seconds before you do any of this

    Yes that is your GPU "card" and to remove it first disconnect the monitor lead and then take out the small screw holding it to the computer casing, and lastly un-clip the inner end and gently pull the card out.

    Now connect up the monitor lead to the board socket and try to see if the monitor is now stable..

I would like my monitor to stay on all the time. I have set all the area's that I can find to leave the monitor on in W7. But after 15mins. the monitor will turn off. Is there a area that I might have missed? Thanks!

When Windows 7 puts my PC into the sleep mode & my Acer LCD monitor goes black, is the monitor actually powering down the lamps or is the PC just not sending it a signal to display?
All settings are set to never allow the monitor to go into sleep mode but it does. I am quite sure it is the computer that is doing it as I can move the mouse and it comes back on.I think there are settings in the bios that need to be changed, but i don't know which ones. I have an Phoenix Award...
I have the monitor set to never go into sleep mode in power options, but it still shuts off after about 10 minutes. I would appreciate any help. Thank you.
