After a bit of research, I found out that you can actually do this multiple times everytime the card dies

I shall note you all about the results when this card gets another reflow.

The only fix is to remove the chip and re-ball it. Then you can replace the chip in the jig and use the x ray machine to align the connections up. The resolder station and x ray device will cost you around $15 to $20 K. I used to do this exactly at Thomson in product development trying out new BGA (Ball Grid Array) chips in development. You really need a new video card. I can't do it any more as I have not worked there since 2002. Oh and you need a microscope to see the chip positioning......and good eyes which I no longer have. Left eye hardly sees squat any more.
