Windows 7: defaulted to 800x600 resolution

defaulted to 800x600 resolution

I have Dell Vostro 320 all-in-one with no VGA port. Only option for adding display is via USB 2 + VGA converter. I have Viewsonic VX2450WM-LED monitor and have successfully extended my display by accessing screen resolution from desktop. Monitor 1 (built in Dell F19) works as always with 1440x900... and Monitor 2 (Viewsonic) is defaulted to 800x600 resolution (not acceptable) with no ability to select anything else - although the Viewsonic is capable of full HD. Monitor Asset Manager only detects the Dell built in monitor. Intel control panel seems to indicate an option for 2 monitors but in reality does not allow the changes it appears to offer... so only the Dell D19 built in monitor can be changed via the Intel control panel. Updated all drivers and no improvement. Any help will be greatly appreciated. Thank you. David
