1151 Socket CPU won't fit in a LGA775 Socket
well i don't understand nothing about this sockets.
did i did wrong by buying this Palit GeForce GT 1030 | eBay
please help me out give me something worth i can buy
As previously posted, it's just not worth spending a lot of money on that Rig. You could get a noticeable improvement in performance by upgrading from the dual core CPU to a Quad core but that would require a New PSU given the GPU you purchased. The CPUs that would best fit Your PC are listed on page 10 of this pdf: http://www.dell.com/downloads/global...tech-guide.pdf
a used Q8400 should be available on EBay for around $25.00 US going by the listing on https://starmicroinc.net/intel-core-...80580pj0674ml/ But these are 95W CPUs http://ark.intel.com/products/38512/...z-1333-MHz-FSB while Your dual core only Needs 65W http://ark.intel.com/products/36503/...z-1066-MHz-FSB
As I posted earlier a Radeon 5450 or GT 210 would have been a better choice. Upgrade the RAM to 4GB. Install a 64 bit OS, and save the money to buy something with more up to date specs.
Hi,
I'd just increase the memory and see for yourself what the 1030 does with the dual core
Just don't overclock the 1030
I used a 300w recommended gpu on a dual core processor with 4 gb's of ram for a while and that system only had a 225w psu in it
Later I upped the memory to 8 gb's still no issues although I later went for more :)

Honestly, I wouldn't spend a GT 1030 with that system given the bottleneck the processor will give. You can save up for a used Core i3 and then you can pair a HD 7850.
i'm looking forward to get a Intel® Core™ 2 Quad Q9650 Intel Core 2 Quad Q9650 3.0 GHz 12M 1333MHz 4-Core Processor LGA 775 CPU 95W 735858203425 | eBay
but what's about the RAM, i want to upgrade to 4GB any link for purchase according to my pc profile
Looks like it's a good choice. The motherboard of your optiplex can support 8GB too so have at least 8GB (two 4G sticks, identical if possible).
@RoasterMen can you provide me any link for the purchase of the RAM 8GB (2 4G sticks)
