Ghosting Lines On Monitor
My second and third pc's are identical in build and both share one monitor through a KVM switch. The problem I am now getting is 3 feint moving lines moving across the screen when both pc's are switched on. If PC 1 is selected on the switch, the feint lines are moving from left to right and if PC 2 is selected, the lines are moving from right to left.
I have tried connecting each pc at a time directly to the monitor and there are no lines on the screen and I have found that if I power off one pc whilst watching the lines on the monitor through the other pc, when the pc powers off, the lines disappear.
This to me points to the KVM switch being faulty but I didn't have this problem before renewing a graphics card in one pc. Before, I had an Asus GT730 installed in one and an Asus 8400GS in the other both connected by VGA cables and everything was okay. The 8400GS failed about a month ago so I bought another GT730 card as a replacement and I have had the problem since.
I have been in contact with the KVM technical support and they got me to try a few things which I had already done so they very kindly sent me a new KVM switch as it was just still in warranty.
I have now swapped over the KVM and the same problem exists.
Any help in being able to solve this issue would be much appreciated.
Thanks
