I have problem with my graphic card geforce fx 5200 in my pc

Hi, I had windows xp installed in my dell dimension 8300 then i installed to windows 7 professional but im still have the display driver: standar vga driver, i installed the correct driver is geforce fx 5200(dell) in dell website or in nvidia website, i tried both but when i see starting windows then my monitor turn off like sleep then appears a blue screen about the nv4_disp.dll so i roll back my driver to standar vga driver, i dont know if im doing something wrong. Help me find out the correct driver pls

Uninstall the driver for your video card. Then do a Windows update and scan for updates. If an update is listed for your NVidia card, install only that one update.

Most people don't recommend using Windows Update to update your hardware drivers. But if you've tried everything else and not found a solution, Windows Update is definitely worth a try.

There are no Windows 7 drivers (not even generic MS drivers) for that ancient GPU, the last certified drivers were from the 96.xx series for Vista which had a buggy WDDM implementation. Newer drivers from r150 and above may work if you manually add the GPU id to the .inf file. If this doesn't work replace that thing with a newer PCI card.

I think it is time to save for a new computer. Don't rush it.
