Problem with ATI HD 2600 drivers

This is an old graphics card I have setup in my internet computer and rarely I use it to archive internet video to disc. When I set it up a few years ago it work fine at 1080i.

I tried to use it today and the drivers did not even see the component video output it took so time and hassle to get it to recognize the analog output and now the max resolution is 720x576.

    any ideas?

    Try reinstalling the video driver.

I had done several re-installations . You got thinking and I had been installing the latest 13.9 and I downloaded 13.1 and now it works. So I'm good.

Sometimes a new driver will have bugs in it; install an older driver, and you're back in business.

Back in the XP days, we had bought an HP printer/scanner/copier. The computer had XP, and the driver that came with the printer was an older driver that would work for 2000 or for XP. It worked without any problem. At one point I installed a newer driver, one which would work for XP or Vista. It had problems, so I went back to the older driver and the problem disappeared.
