    nvidia driver stopped responding - recovered

    When I print to my Epson printer with Photoshop or Lightroom, I get a black screen and the error message above..usually it recovers, but twice I got a blue screen crash. This NEVER happened with Vista, and happens every time I print with Win 7. I've uninstalled and installed the latest nVidia drivers for my 8600 GT card as per nVidia's instructions. Also re-installed my printer drivers. Anything else I can try? Thanks

    Hmmm, using "Win7 drivers" from nVidia and Epson? Have any reported USB problems?

    I too, have this problem. I use official Nvidia drivers, and the printer drivers are from Epson. I also tried the Windows drivers, but this gives the same result.

    My Nvidia driver crashes almost always when I get the print preview.

    Yes, mine crashes when I go to print preview. Also, the ink level indicators do not function in the status box. At NVidia's suggestion, I have tried several different drivers..no good. I had a phone conversation with Epson, and they don't know what else to suggest. Please let me know if you find a solution.

    Edit- I'm an idiot that does not know what he buys apparently. I did buy an NX515 and like an idiot was trying to install drivers for NX115 Sorry

    I have however noticed that the notification services will crash the nvidia driver. Once I disabled all the monitoring stuff I haven't seen the error..

    Ok I was wrong, Epson drivers really do not like nVidia drivers for some reason. I wrote to epson support and this is what I got back;

    Thank you for taking the time to contact Epson. It is my pleasure to respond to your inquiry. My apologies for the trouble you are having, we are aware of some issue customers are having with nvidia displays, not much we can do but here are two possible solutions.

    Adjust Windows - for best performance in control panel.
    Also, use WDDM Windows Driver instead of the Nvidia driver.

    Should you require further assistance with this issue, please reply without history (when possible), as our email system contains all previous correspondence. If you have a different technical support issue, please submit another email request via our website (http://www.epson.com/support), and we will respond in a timely manner.

    Thank you again for contacting Epson.
    Not much of a fix unfortunately
