Some kind of smudge and horizontal lines on the screen...

    Hello,
first to say hello to everzbody after some time and then to the problem.
I have an old (2010 or 2012) Samsung np rv-410 laptop/netbook. I believe it is only 13 or 14 inches screen.
Nothing special, 4GB RAM, 320GB HDD, Pentium core2duo T4300@2,2, integrated Intel card, and that would be pretty much everything.
Some time ago I notices some kind of horizontal lines or more like a smudge, and there is no way I can remove it or clean it. It looks like a scratch, but it's not a scratch when you loook beter.
So, I'm not sure if it is only on the glass which protects screen or on the screen it self.
If it's only the glass/plastic I would try to find the same model for spare parts on ebay for cheap and continue to use it when it's last option and it doesn't need much of the resources(browsing the net or watching a movie)
That's why I made few picture and decided to post them here in a hope that somebody maybe had similar or exactly the same problem and could myabe now what to do.
I mean, I can still use it for browsing the net but when it get to that point, I have to additionally scroll, what is actually all the time.
Thank you all in advance just for reading.
    Cheers

I would think that your screen is broken inside with liquid in the liquid crystal oozing out. Requires screen to be replaced. From my search approximate cost Euro 60. Buy 14" Samsung Np Rv410 Laptop Lcd Screen Replacement 40.95 - 1366X768 (HD) There is one RV410L screen also. You need to know the correct model number.

It would be better if you contact a local computer shop and find out if they can do it and at what price.

Even better if you have a Samsung Service Center in your location. Contact Samsung Support, discuss and find out.

    hello drazenn,

looking at the photos, I would tend to agree with @jumanji, that the internal glass is now broken.

I would take up on jumanji's advice, or otherwise as an alternative, you might consider adding an external monitor to your laptop/netbook via the VGA connection interface.
