Radeon HD 5450 Driver Update Leads to Black Screen

So I've been trying to get this figured out for a while now but nothing seems to work.

NOTE: All windows updates are already installed

I am running the Radeon HD 5450 GPU and the current driver version is 8.872.0.0 dated 07/07/2011

Since the driver is too old, I thought of updating the driver version and downloaded the latest Catalyst Suite from AMD. However, every time I try to upgrade the driver, my PC goes into a boot loop and after a few times of boot loop, it gets me to the login screen.

    My config:
    FX 6100
    ASUS M5A78L-M/USB3
    Corsair 8 GB RAM
    Crucial 256 GB SSD (primary)

I also tried the Crimson suite but get the same result

Any idea why this keeps happening?

    Thanks

    Hi

Is your computer currently stable? Perhaps you can create a manual restore point before making any changes to the system.

What version of the .NET framework do you have installed in your computer? Some versions of Catalyst driver only work on .NET framework 4.5+.

    Your Operating System is 64-bit?

Have you used Device Manager to check for compatible driver updates?

iko22 - thanks for your response. Just after posting this thread, I found a solution on YouTube that fixed my problem. I updated my driver the way it's shown in the video and no more black screen :)
