Vineet Garg- Crimson is the latest iteration of AMD graphics card drivers. Crimson 2.1 Beta is the last driver to be provided for legacy cards. For some reason, his card is sandwiched between those that are considered legacy so he would use Crimson drivers to be up to date.
    Hi Guys,

    1. wither 2 : Sir, Thanks for the quick good brief.

    2. Using Beta drivers is worst of all.

    3. It seems the issue is not just a driver.
You have two Graphic cards : An Intel On board & the other one from AMD. Right ?
We should just check disabling the AMD one & live only with the Intel one.
So, as of now : I would advise to make a clean install, boot into it & first of all disable AMD graphic card from the Device Manager. Just forget that you have a AMD Graphic card & let's see what happens.

    Let me know.

    Thanks & Regards. ...

    Vineet Garg-

As strange as it sounds, that Beta driver is the official and last driver that AMD will issue for the legacy cards.

Sir, I came across a case where a motherboard had separate support sections for win 7 & win 10. The driver under win 10 section, had full support for win 7 but under win 7 section, only a beta driver was listed. The driver was Intel Chipset!

Did you get your graphics drivers from here?
    AMD Radeon™ HD 7970 Drivers & Support | AMD

If not, you may have loaded the wrong driver package and that may cause instability or not work at all.

    Could be your problem?

Yes, they were from that page. :)

I've decided to get a new pc,
so I can finally game new games decently again.

The old PC will be recycled as a server PC for a while.

    Hi All,
    Greets,
    @Malmern :

    1. Pick the right MotherBoard first. Go only for an ASUS one. The Driver , BIOS , etc. support options are poor in MSI products.
I would prefer an MB with Intel Chipset.
( For peculiar/specific support make fresh thread(s) in ''Hardware & Devices'' sub forum. There are much better people to help with! )

    2. Once you finalize a MotherBoard, Go to the Official Support Page to look for all the compatible devices. Most of the motherboard manufacturers maintain complete database of all types of compatible devices under Support / Compatibility section. They continuously test standard devices with the motherboard to check/eliminate compatibility issues.

    Thanks & Regards. ...

    1. Well, too late for that, already ordered an MSI X470 Gaming Pro.

    2. I'm going for AMD this time due to the AMD processors coming later this year.
