BSOD from video card
OK was working well enough but the program I have been using to edit my Gopro videos has forever been slow and constantly re-buffering. So I went to micro center thinking a better video card would help. The guys there said no more than likely it is my processor. I have a AMD FX 8150 8 core CPU I didn't think that would be and I was there so I got a Geforce GTX 1060 replacing my AMD HD 6770.
So the new video card didn't help at all so I googled my MB and figured out the best I could do is a FX 8350 and got one on amazon for $69. I figured maybe going from 3.6 to 4.2 may be just enough to smooth out the playback.
It did but here's my problem. On a side note I have been getting a BSOD every so often when I boot the W7 OS my copy of W10 on the same machine never had a problem. So I uninstall all the ATI driver before I installed the new video card on Saturday. Today when I installed the new 8350 I also put back the ATI 6770 but W7 would never boot. I could boot it in safe mode and boot W10 without an issue. Tried reinstalling AMD HD 6770 drivers in safe mode but got an error something about not detecting or unable to open the hardware detecting or something sorry can't really remember. I reinstalled the new 1060 works great.
I don't do any gaming so if I don't need it I may return the 1060 if I can figure out how to install my old 6770.
