Clean AMD driver install, screens will no longer go into powersave
Well, this is an odd one:
Radeon RX580, three identical Asus XF270HU screens, two plugged into DP ports an the third into HDMI. I did a completely clean reinstall of 19.6.1 - and have since done a similar clean install of 19.6.3. Since the original reinstall the box will not put my monitors into powersave mode, or indeed even let a screensaver run, and the install of the later drivers did not change that.
I realise this is not a comprehensive description of my system but as it's gone from working - AMD driver clean & install only - not working, I want to ask if this is a problem any other AMD user has come across before I start doing more comprehensive system diagnostics. Screen off has always been done via Windows power profile, and that has not changed. As a test I closed every open application & then stopped every service the machine would let me without disabling it's networking or too many peripherals, and it still wouldn't go into idle.
Again, I realise this is not a comprehensive system description - I'm hoping there is a simple AMD-related box to tick first before I start a grand thread.
AMD Settings: global power settings default, Relive enabled ( that is raising a flag with me ), displays are all default settings except HDCP disabled ( HDMI link assurance is on for the HDMI connection ), Eyefinity is off.
Unfortunately google is full of people who can't get machines out of powersaving rather than can't get them into it...
Thanks for any help.
