Display Color Calibration - Acer Aspire 77xx - can't find the controls

Display Color Calibration
This tutorial is very good! However, I have one problem, within brightness and contrast pages, they mention controls -- what controls? I have two Acer Aspire laptops, and cannot find the controls those two pages refer to.

Laptop monitors do not necessarily have the same buttons as external monitors.

Instead use Fn key + '+' and Fn key + '-' to adjust the Brightness of your Laptop's monitor. The Brightness can also be adjusted in Windows Mobility Centre, using the Mouse.

With Contrast setting there is less flexibility, but it can be achieved. To do this, you select Control Panel > Display, then select Settings tab, and look for 'Color Quality'. Color Quality can be set to Low, Medium or High, and altering that affects the Contrast. If you set this setting to 'High' then this will drain the battery quicker, but give you more Contrast and better Color Quality.
