    AMD (ATI) HD 6XXX / 7XXX & INTEL HD Graphics 2000 / 3000 W7 Drivers

    Hello Everyone,

I have been having problems with leshcatlabs drivers with my old HP Pavilion DV6 laptop with AMD HD 6770M and Intel HD Graphics 3000. So I decided develop my own driver. I think driver is finally ready.

    - This driver is HP Pavilion DV4/DV6/DV7 based but I'm sure it will work good with other laptops too.

    - Both Fixed and Dynamic Scheme drivers work stable.

    - This driver is not signed yet so make sure to turn on testing mode.

    - Install Intel driver first then restart and install AMD driver and restart again.

    - Always uninstall with DDU in safe mode.

    - Feel free to post your feedback.

Sorry to hear about it. If you provide more information about your laptop and graphics card it would be more helpful.

This driver is not signed hence test mode must be enabled. Driver is optimized for HP laptops.

There is more generic Leshcatlabs drivers. You can try them too.

    Hi there
Yeah I used to use leshcat drivers but the latest one at the time( I dont remember when) stopped work for me.
I installed windows 7 ultimate to try to use my AMD again but so far no luck.
    My old hp has a i7 2630qm, 8gb RAM, AMD radeon 6770m.

Best way to check whether its hardware fault or software fault is:

    - Can you get into BIOS and select graphics scheme (Fixed/Dynamic)?

Official HP driver for windows 7 is Fixed Scheme.
    - Does official driver from HP works?

If it does not work then your hardware is faulty. If it is working there must be error with unofficial driver like mine.

Another way to test your graphics card is to install linux distro like ubuntu.

    In terminal (shell)
    To check your gpus:
    lspci -k | grep -A 2 -i "VGA"
    Try AMD card to render:
    DRI_PRIME=1 glxgears

    Hi

Mozin included 1 VERY important line in his setup instructions

Install Intel driver first then restart and install AMD driver and restart again.

if you do not do this then the AMD driver install will not be fully accepted
if i remember correctly error code 10 or 42

I can't install the hp since it doesn't even recognize my intel for some reason.
I also tried it on distro pop os and my AMD was recognized by it didn't work(also the bright settings didn't work too).
And on my bios I have dynamic, should I try fixed then?
I also have linux mint prepared to give a try and someone on youtube recommended to use a distro with arch since they said it was easier for AMD Radeon(I don't know what this means and I'm a newbie on linux).

For windows 7 - I recommend fixed scheme. Official HP drivers are for fixed scheme too. Try official HP driver in fixed scheme.

For linux distros and windows 10 - Your bios must be in dynamic scheme. Only dynamic scheme is allowed.

As Roy mentioned, it is important to restart after driver each installation because after first restart intel generates some registry keys. This old amd driver model needs those registry keys. After installation of the amd driver, amd driver takes control of both intel and amd card and thats why it needs another reboot.

Yeah I did the restart each time, the older driver you have almost seemed to work but it went back to no drivers installed after restart, the others did that when it was installing the AMD Driver. I wonder if I should stop and get a new laptop instead.
