    HDMI connectivity

My laptop's HDMI port goes to a REI splitter. 1 to the PC monitor, 2 to a TV.
The monitor is set to shut itself off if the PC is not in use after a time. However, the monitor turning off prevents the HDMI signal going to the TV. The TV doesn't see HDMI-4 (my laptop). Short of simply leaving the monitor on, is there a setting that would prevent this from happen? Thanks.

Is the screen itself shutting off? Or is Windows turning off the screen with the screensaver/screen timer?

If it's the latter, that will definitely shut off your HDMI signal coming from the computer. If you have the screensaver enabled, I would suggest disabling it and simply turning off the monitor when not in use.

Hope that helps, unless I have misunderstood something.

Didn't realize it, but it was in the pwer settings, no using screen saver. So I changed settings and started screen saver. I'm okay with manually turn the monitor off. You can close this discussion. Thanks.
