Media Center starts on wrong screen

I have a dual screen setup (PC & TV) & just upgraded from mce2005. Whenever mce2005 started up, media center automatically displayed on my tv screen rather than my pc monitor. With Windows 7 it seems to display on my PC monitor at startup, even though I have dragged it onto the tv screen the previous time I used it. Is there a way I can get it to start up on my tv screen but keep my PC monitor as my primary screen? My video card is an nVidia GeForce 7300LE

PS It's also time for a video card upgrade as live TV is very choppy - would people recommend ATI or nVidia?

That's strange. I just tested for you and it opened on the previous monitor that it was closed from.

Maybe try maximizing it on the tv screen, then close and see if it reopens there.

Same as Torrentg's suggestion, perhaps try maximizing/minimizing a few times on the TV before closing MC. I just tried it and it works that way for me.

    People will recommend both

Was playback choppy in MCE 2005? If not, it could be a driver issue.

Thanks, I tried maximising & minimising it a few times & that seems to have fixed it.

MCE 2005 playback & live TV was fine. I tried various codec packs including K-Lite & Shark007 but live TV remains a bit choppy. I turned off Aero & that helped quite a lot so I suspect it might be an underpowered video card (nVidia GeForce 7300LE 256MB) - I'm planning to try an 8400GT 512MB version.
