The Dell OptiPlex 7010 is NOT a new computer.
It is a several years old 2nd/3rd generation Intel model.

You did not say which specific games you want to play.
Most of them should have their recommended system requirements posted in one or more websites.
You will probably discover the 7010 lacks sufficient horsepower to play them.

No. The minimum GPU needed for Minecraft is the Intel HD Graphics 4000 internal GPU on the CPU.

You could go dedicated GPU, but then you more than likely would have to buy a new PSU for the computer since OEM computers like Dell only supply the bare minimum for the base system configuration.

I've been through that years ago and practically upgraded everything in my Dell except for the motherboard and case. I'm not kidding. CPU, RAM, PSU, video card, sound card, hard drives, and optical drives. I used it for Call Of Duty Modern Warfare back in circa 2008. As well as Flight Simulator 2004, BF2142, BF2, you name it.

hd 4000 is a bit better than hd 2500.

It is up to you if you think it is worth changing the cpu to one that has hd 4000.

They are very cheap for example. https://uk.webuy.com/product-detail/...PUINTI53570SA&

I have heard that people often add modest graphics cards to those older machines.

There are many videos on the subject.

You may need to look into OptiFine to play Minecraft with a smooth frame rate.

And you could look into using a modified driver for improved performance, although using one may result in impaired system functions and stability.

Let us know what other games you hope to play
